Dr. Femi Babalola
Dr.
Femi Babalola is the medical director and chief consultant
ophthalmologist at Rachel eye.
He was trained at the University of Ife (BSc health
sciences, MbChb), the ABU hospital , Queens Royal hospital
Belfast UK, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, India. He is a
fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the
Nigerian Post graduate Medical College (FWACS, FMCophth). He
is at present undergoing further training in Epidemiology at
the University of London (MSc Epid).
He has research interests in Onchocerciasis, Trachoma and
sickle cell eye disease, and in tropical ophthalmology in
general. He is widely published in these areas.
Mrs. Idowu Bolanle Babalola
Mrs.
Babalola is a registered Nurse and Midwife (RN, RM) who also
holds a degree in Nursing administration (BS c) from the
University of Ibadan. She is the Chief Administrator of the
center and devotes a lot of energy into engendering an
atmosphere of quiet efficiency. Her motto has always been
"to be the best in all we do".

Dr. Ambrose Ibeagbulam (OD)
Ambrose is our senior optometrist. He is a doctor of
optometry who graduated from the Imo State University,
Okigwe, and joined the Center about five years ago. His
'gentle giant' disposition compliments his friendly clinical
disposition.

Mr. Martin Nneke
Mr. Nneke is our most experienced
ophthalmic Nurse. He has been with the center since 1995 and
has garnered tremndous experience in ophthalmo-surical
nursing, being exceptionally familiar with most of the
common procedures carried out in a tropcical ophthalmic
practice. He has also in the course of his work, garnered a
degree in Sociology, making him a well rounded individual
in society.

Mr. Taiwo Amodu
Mr. Taiwo Amodu is the head of the optical division of
Rachel Eye Center and the manager of the sister company,
Teez-optics (Nig) ltd., which handles the surfacing and
special optical orders end of the business. He is well known
in Abuja and environs as a highly experienced optical
technician and is often consulted by other eye clinics.
